Agreement
This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") governs your use of PornBlocker on iOS and Android, an application by Pixster Studio LLP ("App"). On iOS, PornBlocker operates as a Safari Content Blocker; on Android, PornBlocker is a system-wide blocking app with additional self-control and accountability features described below. By installing or otherwise using either version of the App, you: (a) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this EULA, (b) represent and warrant that you own or control the mobile device on which the App will be installed, and (c) represent and warrant that you have the right, authority and capacity to enter into this EULA and to abide by all its terms and conditions. The terms and conditions of this EULA also apply to any App updates, supplements, and services that are not provided under a separate license or agreement with us. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this EULA, do not install or use the App. We may amend these terms from time to time. If changes include material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you by reasonable means, including an in-app message when you open the App. Your continued use of the App after we post any amendments will signify your acceptance of such amendments. If you do not agree with any amendment, you must discontinue using the App. Use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this EULA by reference. The App may be available through marketplaces that distribute mobile applications and that may have additional terms and conditions that govern your use of the App if you download or install it through such marketplaces, including the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Age Requirement
You must be 13 years of age or older to install or use the App. If you are at least 13 but not yet 18 years of age, please have your parent or legal guardian review this EULA with you, discuss any questions you might have, and install the App for you. NOTICE TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS: By granting your child permission to download and access the App, you agree to the terms and conditions of this EULA on behalf of your child. You are responsible for exercising supervision over your children's online activities. If you do not agree to this EULA, do not let your child use the App. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 and believe that he or she is using the App, please contact us at feedback@pixsterstudio.com.
Grant of License
Subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions of this EULA, Pixster Studio LLP grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to access, download and install the most current generally available version of the App on a single, authorized mobile device that you own or control, solely for your lawful, personal, and non-commercial use.
Description of Other Rights and Limitations
1. Restricted Use
You may not rent, sell, lease, sublicense, distribute, assign, copy (other than a single copy for your own backup purposes), or in any way transfer or grant any rights to the App or use the App for the benefit of any third party. Unless permitted under the applicable mobile platform terms, you are prohibited from making the App available over a network where it could be downloaded or used by multiple users. You agree that you will not use any robot, spider, or other automatic or manual device to interfere with the proper working of the App, except to remove the App from a mobile device which you own or control. You may not violate or attempt to violate the security of our services. You may not modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise tamper with the App, or attempt to do so for any reason or by any means, including any attempt to bypass or defeat the Android app's blocking, Accessibility Service detection, or Uninstall Prevention mechanisms other than through the App's own designed unlock features. You may not access, create or modify the source code of the App in any way. You do not have the right to and may not create derivative works of the App or any portions thereof. All modifications or enhancements to the App remain the sole property of Pixster Studio LLP.
2. App Updates
We reserve the right to add or remove features or functions to the App. When installed on your mobile device, the App may periodically communicate with our servers to receive updated content-blocking rule sets, including the Android adult-domain database. We may require the updating of the App on your mobile device when we release a new version, or when we make new features available. This update may occur automatically or upon prior notice to you. You acknowledge and agree that we have no obligation to make available to you any updates, supplements or subsequent versions of the App.
3. Access
You must provide at your own expense the equipment, Internet connections, devices and service plans to access and use the App. If you access the App through a mobile network, your network or roaming provider's data and other rates and fees may apply. You are solely responsible for any costs you incur to access the App from your device. We make no representation that the App can be accessed on all devices or wireless service plans, or that the App is available in all languages or appropriate for use in any particular location.
4. Purchases & Subscription Services
Certain features of the App may be available for purchase or on a subscription basis. On iOS, payment is processed through the Apple App Store; on Android, payment is processed through Google Play Billing. Free trial subscriptions may be cancelled at any point up to 24 hours before the expiry of the free trial. You can cancel a subscription at any time via your device's subscription settings in the App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable. The cancellation will take effect after the last day of the relevant subscription period. On Android, free-tier users may additionally choose to unlock temporary access by watching a rewarded video ad served by our third-party ad partner; ad content is selected and controlled by that third party and is not endorsed by Pixster Studio LLP.
App Functionality
IOS
PornBlocker provides a Safari Content Blocker extension that filters explicit content in Safari using blocking rules that are applied locally on your device. The App does not collect, transmit, or store your browsing history or Safari activity. Content blocking rule sets may be updated periodically to improve filtering effectiveness. The App does not provide location data or navigation services.
Android
PornBlocker for Android provides system-wide blocking of adult websites, adult search queries, and image/video search results across major browsers, using on-device detection. It additionally provides: an App Blocker allowing you to select and block installed apps; blocking of embedded in-app browsers and unsupported browsers; selective blocking of short-form content within social media apps; a custom website blocklist, allowlist, and keyword blocker; blocking of gambling and shopping apps; a scheduled "Panic Mode" that locks down distracting apps and browsing during set hours; an optional Accountability Partner feature that requires your chosen partner's approval before protection can be turned off; a mandatory time-delay cooling-off period before blocker settings can be changed; a sentence-typing challenge or rewarded-ad option as an alternative path to changing settings; Uninstall Prevention using Android's Device Administrator permission; a PIN and biometric lock for blocker settings; automatic restoration of active blocklists and schedules after a device restart; a customizable block screen; and curated recovery articles and educational content.
Accountability Partner and Self-Control Features (Android)
The Accountability Partner, Panic Mode, cooling-off timer, and sentence-typing challenge features are designed as self-control tools to support your personal goals, and are provided on an as-is basis. You are responsible for choosing a partner you trust and for the accuracy of any contact details you provide for them. We do not guarantee that your accountability partner will respond to any request within any particular timeframe, and we are not responsible for the conduct, responsiveness, or advice of any accountability partner you choose to invite. These features, and the recovery articles and educational content made available in the App, are intended as general self-help and organizational tools. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or addiction treatment advice, diagnosis, or care, and are not provided by licensed clinicians. If you are struggling with compulsive behavior or addiction, we encourage you to seek support from a qualified healthcare professional or an appropriate support organization in addition to using the App.
Uninstall Prevention (Android)
By enabling Uninstall Prevention, you grant the App Device Administrator privileges that restrict impulsive uninstallation. This feature is entirely optional: you choose to enable it, and you may disable it and uninstall the App at any time, on your own initiative and without needing any other person's authorization, by removing Device Administrator access for the App via Settings → Security → Device Admin Apps (or the equivalent path on your device), after which you may uninstall the App as you would any other application.
Third-Party Services
1. Third-Party Services and Content
The App may integrate with Apple's Safari extension framework and other Apple system services (iOS), or with Google Play services, advertising SDKs used to serve rewarded ads, and Android system frameworks (Android), which are subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies. We have no control over these platforms or third-party ad networks and are not responsible for their availability or content. We will not be a party to or in any way responsible for monitoring any transaction between you and third-party partners, including any accountability partner you invite.
2. Third-Party Links
The App may provide links to third-party websites or resources, including in recovery articles. We have no control over such websites and resources, and you acknowledge and agree that Pixster Studio LLP is not responsible for the availability of such external websites or resources, and does not endorse, nor is it responsible or liable for, any content, products, or other materials on or available from such websites or resources.
Security
Pixster Studio LLP Apps, like other consumer technologies, may not be 100% secure. By accepting this EULA you acknowledge and accept that the App and any information you download or offer to share by means of the App may be exposed to unauthorized access, interception, corruption, damage or misuse, and cannot be regarded as 100% secure. You accept all responsibility for such security risks and any damage resulting therefrom. Further, you are solely responsible for securing your mobile device from unauthorized access, including choosing a PIN or biometric lock for blocker settings on Android. You agree that Pixster Studio LLP shall not be liable for any unauthorized access to your mobile device or the app data thereon, including any circumvention of blocking features by another person with access to your device.
Consent to Use of Data
You agree that we may collect and use limited, anonymized technical data, including but not limited to app version, device type, and crash diagnostics, gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates and technical support. On Android, you further agree that we may process accountability-partner contact identifiers and unlock-request status, and advertising identifiers for rewarded ads, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not collect your browsing history, Safari activity, or the on-screen content read by the Android Accessibility Service beyond what is needed to apply blocking rules on-device. We may use this information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The App, including all design, text, images, graphic material, code, content, protocols, software, and documentation provided to you by Pixster Studio LLP, is Pixster Studio LLP's property or the property of its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademarks, patents and other proprietary rights and laws. You may not delete, alter, or remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notice we or Third Party Partners have placed on or within the App. All rights not expressly granted hereunder are expressly reserved to Pixster Studio LLP and its licensors. The Pixster Studio LLP names, logos and affiliated properties are the exclusive property of Pixster Studio LLP or its affiliates. The trade names, trademarks and service marks owned by us, whether registered or unregistered, may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not ours, in any manner that is likely to cause confusion.
Uninstall/Removal of the App
Uninstallation and removal methods vary depending on your device. To uninstall and remove the App, please use the application manager provided with your device or consult your device manual for reference. To disable the Safari extension on iOS, go to Settings → Safari → Extensions. On Android, if Uninstall Prevention is enabled, first remove Device Administrator access as described above before uninstalling.
Termination
Your rights under this EULA will terminate immediately and automatically without any notice from Pixster Studio LLP if you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions of this EULA. Pixster Studio LLP, in its sole discretion, may modify, discontinue or suspend your right to access any of our services or use of the App at any time. You agree that Pixster Studio LLP shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination or disabling of the App. Upon expiration or termination of this EULA, you must cease all use of the App and destroy all copies in your possession or control. Termination will not limit any of Pixster Studio LLP's other rights or remedies at law or in equity.
Disclaimer of Warranty
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an "as is," "with all faults," and "as available" basis, and you use it at your sole risk. Pixster Studio LLP, on behalf of itself and its affiliates, licensors, distributors, vendors, agents and suppliers, expressly disclaims any and all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Without limitation, Pixster Studio LLP makes no warranty that the App, including its blocking, Accountability Partner, or Uninstall Prevention features, will meet your requirements, will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or will successfully block all explicit content or prevent all attempts to bypass its restrictions, or that the results obtained from use of the App will be accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, the foregoing disclaimers may not apply to you insofar as they relate to implied warranties. This disclaimer of warranty constitutes an essential part of this agreement.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable laws, you expressly understand and agree that Pixster Studio LLP shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if Pixster Studio LLP has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or inability to use the App; (ii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; (iii) statements or conduct of any third party, including any accountability partner or ad network; (iv) failure of the App to block any particular content or to prevent circumvention of its restrictions; or (v) any other matter relating to the App. In no event shall Pixster Studio LLP's total liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the App.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Pixster Studio LLP, its parents, affiliate and subsidiary companies, officers, directors, employees, consultants and agents from any and all third-party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of this EULA, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity. You agree to immediately notify Pixster Studio LLP of any unauthorized use of the App or any other breach of security known to you.
Export Controls
The App and the underlying information and technology are subject to US and international laws, restrictions and regulations that may govern the import, export, downloading and use of the App. You agree to comply with these laws, restrictions and regulations when downloading or using the App.
Miscellaneous
No failure or delay by Pixster Studio LLP in exercising any right, power or privilege under this EULA will operate as a waiver thereof, nor will any single or partial exercise of any right, power or privilege preclude any other or further exercise thereof. If any provision of this EULA shall be found unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. YOU AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP MUST COMMENCE WITHIN THREE (3) YEARS AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES. OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.
